Georgetown is located in Colorado's Central Rockies and features a wealth of natural attractions and outdoor activities to satisfy a variety of interests. Loveland Resort is popular with skiers during the winter months, featuring accommodations and amenities on the mountain. Historical attractions are also prominent in the Georgetown area, including the Georgetown Loop Historic Railroad which takes visitors on a scenic tour of the area, revealing the remnants of silver and gold mines.
