With 1,365 skiable acres (552 ha) and a vertical drop of 2,140 ft (652 m), Loveland is a good alternative to Colorado's larger and busier resorts. Childcare services for children are available on site and although there are no on-site accommodations skiers and riders on vacation can find ample lodging to meet their needs in Empire, just 14 mi (22 km) east of Loveland or Georgetown, 12 mi (19 km) east of Loveland on Interstate 70.
